Team Profiles
David Shomaker, Managing Director
David has spent the last ten years of his career cooperating with Chinese companies in a number of different industries including trade, manufacturing, solar energy, and public relations. He grew up in Washington D.C., the son of a lawyer for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). Edward Shomaker, David’s late father, spoke Russian and was the head of USA-USSR Relations for Nuclear Safety at the NRC in the late 1980s until his death in 1993. Early exposure to multiple languages and world events like 1986’s Chernobyl sparked David’s keen interest in international affairs.
David later studied at Middlebury College in Vermont graduating with a double major in Psychology and Film Studies in 2000. That same year, he relocated to Taiwan and began studying Mandarin and working in the electronics industry. After moving to Los Angeles with a Taiwanese-owned electronics firm in 2002, he continued his Mandarin studies in the United States and gained valuable branding experiences at both Doberman Security and his own trade company.
In 2008, David returned to China and founded NetworkPRD with Andrew Fennel in early 2009. David brings his language skills, international sales and marketing experiences, and deep understanding of culture to NetworkPRD. He is excited about the position NetworkPRD holds in the Southern China community as a premier, PR-services, company focused on development in this region of China. He strives to make it an invaluable addition to this community as a whole.
Cedrick Pouliot, Strategic Development Director
Cedrick started collaborating with NetworkPRD in early 2009 and became the Strategic Development Director at the end of 2009. Prior to his NetworkPRD experience, he co-founded an international trade company, called Asia World Link, Ltd.
Cedrick arrived in China from Canada in 2005. His education experience consists of a Masters in Environmental Microbiology and a graduate diploma in Business Administration. Speaking four languages (French, English, Chinese and Spanish), Cedrick has made contacts all over the world in the business field and is now actively expanding NetworkPRD’s network of contacts.
David Ho, IT Director
Early in 2010 David Ho joined NetworkPRD as it’s IT director coordinating NetworkPRD’s utilization of technology and aiding in business development. He is the founder and managing director of SolidRank.
Derived from a diverse background of both Chinese and German-American decent David brings a unique and necessary perspective to the table. He came to China in April of 2008 and has since worked tirelessly to make himself a relevant and integral part of the networking and technology industries in the PRD area.
